Cycling shops online

Cycling shops have moved online selling bicycle accessories, bike parts, cycle clothing and sports nutrition from a single website address, where prices can be up to 30% lower than those found in high street shops. Whether it is cycling for fun, as a sports hobby or professional, the cycle shop aims to supply everything the cyclist needs using the internet as the sales and fulfilment channel.
The main driver for shopping online at a cycling shop is the expected lower prices and direct shipment but also as they are not constrained by floor space the cyclist can choose from a wider range of bike brands and accessories.  Online cycling shops and bike accessories retailers such as Alimay Sports are just as passionate about cycling as any bicycle shop and even have to work harder to bring the cycling community the best bike brands, broad range of parts and product options to ensure there is a product for every cyclist and budget.
Whatever the cyclist needs, the cycling shop aims to have it in stock and then will ship the orders directly to the consumer usually with free shipping. Online cycle shops display their products under a list of categories to give that total bike experience. These categories normally include bike parts, cycling accessories, bicycle components, cycle clothing and sports nutrition not forgetting complete bikes.
Today, online cycling shops can deliver a world class shopping experience to cyclists around the world, offering the lowest prices on everything to kit out the cycling enthusiast, and then deliver the order directly to the cyclist with no fuss. Purchasing bike parts and cycling accessories as with most retailing is now firmly set online.

Maintaining your new Bicycle and Cycling Lifestyle - The 2nd Installment

An article about bicycle maintenance came, we all got very motivated to keep up with our bicycle maintenance, and now we have to see if people are just as enthusiastic about the 2nd installment on bicycle maintenance.

What's in store for this part?

For our second installment of tips for maintaining your new bicycle, we are going to cover another three areas that help you to keep your bicycle in good order and in it's best working condition.

Good Cycling Accessories
If you put good cycling accessories on your bicycle, you're more likely to want to take care of them. It's a case of being a cyclist who knows exactly what he has on his bike, the difference they make, and how they feel when they're properly cared for compared to when they are left to go into disrepair.

This is why in our online bicycle shop, our cycling accessories category is built on quality, rather than quantity and lowest pricing.
We may not have the lowest prices of all cycling accessories, but of the brands we stock, we aim to give you the best prices for them.

Good Home Mechanic Skills
Learning to be the best bike mechanic in the world isn't worth it unless you're being paid for it. However, being the best mechanic in your club is always a benefit.

If you want to learn good bicycle maintenance then learn what you can and can't do with a bike. Doing this, you know how much you can fix on a bike yourself, and how much you need to go to your local bike shop mechanic

The best way to learn it, is by regularly taking parts off your bike, servicing them, cleaning them, and putting them back on.
Eventually you will learn the subtle differences between a well cared for bike and a bike that has been ridden for a while without maintenance.

Then you will be able to notice when things aren't right on your bicycle, and then you know when to service and repair your bike yourself.

A love for your bike
If you learn to love your bike, you will learn to love how your bicycle looks and feels.

By taking a cyclists pride in your bicycle, you will always want it to look good and always want it to ride at its best performance.
If you don't care too much about your bicycle, or if it's one that you haven't invested a lot of time or money into, then in our experience we haven't cared for it as much.

But on the bikes where we've researched them carefully, saved up for it, waited what seemed like for ever for the bicycle to be delivered, we've cared for that bicycle from day 1 and never stopped.
So get to know your bicycle, how it handles compared to other bikes, the sounds it makes and doesn't make, so then eventually when things change, you will notice it and want it to go back to how it originally handled when you cycled it.

You can always take a look at our online bicycle shop to see what we have available and you might find some great cycling gear to help you love cycling even more.

Maintaining your new Bicycle and Cycling Lifestyle - The 1st Installment

Christmas came, you got a new bicycle, you rode it, it was magnificent, and now you want to have the best bicycle maintenance in the bunch. So keep reading through our tips for cyclists and making the most of cycling accessories and bicycle maintenance to keep your bicycle in its best shape.

Cycling knowledge is key, and we're big advocates for education in cycling when it comes to road safety, but knowledge on cycling accessories is equally important. When we consider bicycle parts and how important they are to a cyclist, then knowledge on bicycle components becomes vital.

Any experienced cyclist will know that nothing ends a ride than a flat bike tyre. A weathered cyclist will know the difference that the proper cycling clothing will make the difference as to how enjoyable a bike ride is. Lastly, great cyclists know the difference that correct bicycle components make to cycling performance.

When looking at education for any cyclist, we are going to offer a lot of tips, and first up in our 1st installment on bicycle maintenance, we are going to look at a contentious, but important issue - cycling helmets.

Cycling Helmets.
From the top down, literally, cycling helmets are a great place to start on any cyclists journey. Every time you go out cycling, wear a bicycle helmet. There are lot of different opinions among cyclists, but we've been involved in and seen enough bike crashes and falls to see where they have prevented either a bad hit to the head to the almost fatal. Over the course of your cycling life and/or career, you will fall off. Whether it's because you've been knocked off or you've just been clumsy, it will happen so be careful and wear a helmet. There are some great helmets out there, just take a look at the cycling accessories section we have.

Fixing Bike Repairs
So now that you have your head protected, and while we will cover the best cycling clothing for you to wear in a future installment, what should really be considered first is how to fix any problems you might have with your bike.
There's no point in going out cycling with the best bicycle, best bicycle parts, looking great in your cycling clothing, but not knowing to how to carry out simple bike repair.
There are some great websites for bicycle repair and giving tips for how to do it. For a vast depth of information take a look at http://sheldonbrown.com/.

So once you have the knack of how to fix your bike, take a look at the great bicycle parts you can upgrade your bike with.

You're going to need things like a small saddlebag to carry the essential bike tools. Then in that you want a tube, bicycle tyre levers, and either a cO2 canister or a bicycle tyre pump.
It's always handy to have an allen key set so that you can make some quick fixes when anything comes lost on the bike such as your seat post or headset.
It's amazing how many people forget a pump, so we must reiterate that you should carry a pump. They're light and come in plenty of colours, shapes and with attachments to suit the type of valve on your tube.
Lastly, a good bicycle lock is important if you're going to be cycling your bike to and from work, or even just to the shops. Spending a small amount of money on a lock can save you a lot of money in the long run.

Cycling Water Bottles
The next essential while you're out cycling is a water bottle. This is needed no matter the weather, as hydration is always important while cycling. To hold your water bottle, a bottle cage is also needed on your bicycle.
No matter how easy or hard your cycle is, staying hydrated is always important so be sure to carry a bottle of water, and for longer spins think about adding some electrolytes and carbohydrates to your water too.

That covers the 1st installment from Alimay Sports about maintaining your new bicycle and cycling lifestyle, and the 2nd installment will cover more important elements of taking up cycling as a hobby or a sport.

In the meantime, feel free to check out the website for some great cycling deals.
